Starting in January at Lincoln Square Fencing, we will be offering daytime, youth-oriented fencing classes, specifically geared towards introducing students in homeschool programs to the sport of fencing.

Our curriculum is based on a French program using a built-in progression of attacks, defense, and preparatory actions. In this class we work with our students using exercises that improve stamina, agility, and mental focus in order to train them in proper athleticism, footwork and blade control.

The program is headed by Coach Clinton Smith, a professional member of USA Fencing and certified nationally-ranked fencing referee with over two decades of experience training and coaching fencers.

Registration for our home-school program is available on our website at: http://www.lincolnsquarefencing.com/register/

Class space is limited, and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registrations beyond the current class size will be contacted to schedule extra class sessions.

Cost for our 8-week, hour-long program is $125, which includes use of equipment and a non-competitive membership with USA Fencing. Classes will begin Monday, January 21st, starting each hour from 1-4 and will be organized by age groups 5-7, 7-10, 11-12, and 13+, depending on registrations.
