(Out for the day on the ocean in December of last year with the family! Bliss.)

It is getting to be kind of cold out now. Many Chicagoan’s thoughts turn to those December and February trips to Florida where they get to hang out with the snow bird grandparents and see the local palm trees sway, and the lovebugs splatter the windshield.

If you are taking one of those Chicago to Florida flights this year and you are looking for something amazing and different from the usual tourist traps to do with your family, you should call Captain Jack at Paradise Barefoot Cruises. Captain Jack has a special place in his heart fro homeschooling families because 2 of his grandkids happen to be homeschooling. So, at the behest of his daughter (me!) he has agreed to offer special educational family cruises for homeschooling families at a discount. When your family takes a cruise with him on his 22 foot boat, you will visit with local wildlife, go shelling on pristine hidden beaches and learn all about the geography of the area. Best of all, you’ll see dolphins and sting rays and many other creatures close up that you can only see here at the aquarium.

If you give him a call or drop him an email, tell him Kim sent you. Say hi to the dolphins for me too.
