All canoing equipment will be provided, including life jackets. A sack lunch will be necessary and a complete supply list will be distributed one week before the trip. OR Pond Wonders ($7/child) Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007 1:15-3:15 p.m. Ages 6 and up. Learn all about the pond and the plants and animals that live on, in and around it. We’ll travel around the pond’s edges and really have the opportunity to see the pond up close when we head out to explore in rowboats. All participants will be required to wear a life jacket.

Bon Voyage Birds ($7.00/child) Tuesday, October 30th, 2007 1:15-3:15 p.m. Ages 6 and up. Participants will have the opportunity to become a bird, follow a migration flyway and understand some of the obstacles birds encounter when flying south for the winter. We’ll share what animals do when they are away and when we can expect their return.

Mystery Animal Skulls ($7.00/child) Tuesday, November 6th, 2007 1:15-3:15 p.m. Participants ages 6-7 will need an adult to stay. Animal skulls tell us a great deal about creatures and how they once survived in their natural environment. A close and careful investigation of skulls can provide us with clues about what the animal ate, whether the animal was predator or prey, and which senses were important to its survival. Join us as we investigate the skulls of a variety of creatures and try to uncover evidence to determine each animal’s true identity. ________________________________________________________________
